HOLISTIC - The Million-Dollar Roadmap Starts in Your Mind
Jamie Milne

Most people believe money is a mathematics problem, I don’t.
After working with hundreds of individuals, business owners and athletes, I’ve found that money is far more often a psychological problem than a financial one.
Many people struggle to earn money, others struggle to grow it, and many earn plenty but can’t keep it. Behind each of these challenges is often a story we’ve been telling ourselves for years, a story shaped by our parents, school, culture, friends and past experiences.
The good news? Stories can be rewritten.
One of my favourite questions is: What is your current money identity? Are you a saver, an avoider, an investor, a risk-taker, or someone who simply believes they’ll never have enough? Identity always precedes behaviour. If we don’t upgrade our beliefs, our financial habits rarely change.
Health and wealth also share something in common, they compound. Just as poor health doesn’t happen overnight, financial stress rarely appears in a single day. Likewise, becoming healthier or wealthier is usually the result of small, consistent actions repeated over time.
Life will always involve uncertainty. Markets fluctuate, businesses experience highs and lows, and unexpected expenses arrive. The goal isn’t to eliminate uncertainty; it’s to become the type of person who can thrive despite it.
As Jim Rohn famously said, “Your income will only grow to the extent that you do.”
The greatest investment you’ll ever make isn’t in shares, property or cryptocurrency, it’s in yourself. Your knowledge, health, emotional resilience and skills are assets that continue paying dividends for life.
Perhaps it’s time to stop asking, “How do I make more money?” and instead ask, “Who do I need to become?”
Build the person first, and the wealth often follows.
Self worth = net worth, and the more we develop self, and evolve our intelligence, the more valuable we are to the market
