CREATIVE CUTS - Yandina Country Music

ACMA welcomes acclaimed country artist Matilda Malone (pictured) to the stage as special guest artist at our concert on Sunday October 18.

Matilda is an emerging folk artist that brings together profound storytelling, timeless nature, and a quietly captivating sound. Inspired by the poetic lyricism of Joni Mitchell,

Matilda’s music has in the past been compared to the softness of Phoebe Bridgers, with subtle nods to the warmth of Eva Cassidy and soulful simplicity of Norah Jones.

With a sound that feels both nostalgic and contemporary, Matilda is carving out her own space within the Australian folk landscape. Her music is intimate without being insular, vulnerable without losing its warmth, and rooted in the enduring tradition of a story told through song.

You’ll also enjoy popular country music and other upbeat, crowd-pleasing favourites from talented local artists backed by a great house band, Shades of Country. See you at the Hall of Fame, 24 Steggalls Road. Doors open 10am, 11 am start, raffle and door prizes, refreshments, sausage sizzle, free tea and coffee, entry $15, members $10.
