CREATIVE CUTS - Rock N Blues Fest returns

Celebrating its 15th annual event in 2026, Mitchell Creek Rock N Blues Fest returns to the Sunshine Coast Hinterland from September 17-20, bringing together live music, camping and community in one of Queensland’s most unique festival settings.
First held in 2012, the festival was founded by Festival Director Jimmy Budgen, whose vision was to create a live music experience that embraced the Mitchell Creek property.
Surrounded by bushland, the valley forms a natural amphitheatre and has become a defining part of the festival’s atmosphere.
Today, Mitchell Creek is an established rock, blues and roots camping festival featuring more than 120 artists across two alternating stages, along with onsite camping, food and markets.
Supporting Australian live music remains at the heart of the event, with local and emerging artists performing alongside established Australian acts. The alternating stages mean audiences can enjoy the full program, giving emerging performers the opportunity to play to the same engaged crowds as well-known artists.
Festival-goers return year after year for the music, setting, atmosphere and sense of community in the valley.
Around 4,000 festival-goers are expected in 2026, creating a weekend while maintaining the relaxed, intimate and community-focused atmosphere Mitchell Creek is known for.
