We have an innate desire to improve our lives. In varied ways we are all searching for more happiness, greater success and better health. Life coaches and personal trainers are in greater demand and more people follow influencers with the hope of being as happy and beautiful as they appear to be.
However, mental health issues are on the rise, physical problems plague the population regardless of age and the challenges of just living life are not going away.
How do we find happiness in a world that seems chaotic while confronted by situations which seem beyond our control?
We create a physiology that can throw off the effects of stress and fatigue in a systematic and reliable way.
Transcendental Meditation® gives the body a state of rest that can be deeper than deep sleep. This is revitalising and energising but it also creates a nervous system that does not allow stress to take hold in the same way. The twice daily practice releases the emotional charge of deep-rooted stress and trauma and over time the challenges of life become like water of a duck’s back.
When we are stressed, and uptight, even small problems can irritate us and make us fly off the handle. Decisions made in this state tend to be short sighted or reactionary.
Before looking outside ourselves to fix up our lives, we need to take time to reset the machinery of experience.
Transcendental Meditation is like diving to the bottom of the ocean and taking refuge from the turbulence on the surface, but the practical benefit is that we come out feeling better. The brain waves are more coherent, cortisol levels are reduced, and blood pressure can normalise.
We may not be able to control our lives, but we can change the way we deal with the challenges.
