CREATIVE CUTS - Local Theatrical Treat

Closer is Patrick Marber’s powerful, yet darkly humorous, modern masterpiece. It scooped both the Olivier and Tony awards. Perhaps it was best described by Variety magazine in New York as … “bruising and beautiful, shatteringly funny and devastatingly sad. The play’s dialogue has a raw emotionality rarely heard in art or life... cuts like broken glass... full of bitter, intelligent, unvarnished truth.”

Closer needs commitment. Commitment from the audience, and especially from the actors. There are only four in the cast and there’s never a moment for any of them to hide! Shane McLennan, Sophie Armstrong, Kenya Geurts and Charlie Harrison are committed, brave and honest performers. Come and share their experience.

It’s not pretty, but it’s real. You might even see yourself somewhere in this hot mess.

Produced by SRT and directed by Simon Denver. Warning! This play contains sexually explicit language and concepts.
