The Hinterland Times (HT) has been a community favourite for many years across the range of the Sunshine Coast. Covering a large geographical area from Beerwah & Glasshouse Mountains all the way up to Nambour, Yandina and Eumundi and then west towards the HT’s original birthplace of Maleny, Montville and Mapleton up on top of the range, the Hinterland Times has always prided itself as the local voice of the community. Digging deep into the stories behind the people, businesses and history of the Sunshine Coast hinterland’s magic is what makes the Hinterland Times such a substantial publication.
Sunny Coast Media was formed in 2020 as the launch of the HT’s sister publication, the Sunny Coast Times was released. Upon the demise of many much-loved local community publications in 2020, a gaping hole was left across the Sunshine Coast’s Coastal region for a community based news magazine that could interest, entertain and excite the Sunny Coast’s local residents about news, business, events and stories from their community. With distribution from Noosa to Caloundra, the Sunny Coast Times brings the whole coast together while still featuring each individual community along the way.
