Chay’s Community Mob is a deep listening group which has been held for the last three-and-a-half years at C Square Nambour on Tuesday mornings, 9am to 12 midday.

Those involved were aware of the need for somewhere people could connect with others to talk about their struggles with loneliness, homelessness and anxiety, including suicidal thoughts, knowing they would be heard without judgement or criticism, and be certain of confidentiality.

C Square is very convenient, being just across from train and bus stations. Everyone is welcome to join the group for free tea, coffee and yummy homemade snacks. There are usually about 15 to 20 people from all walks of life joining in the conversation.

Some local businesses generously save their bottles and cans which the group collects to help finance some of their costs.
